Why I Do This—And Why I’m Qualified to Help

       I didn’t set out to become a China travel consultant. I set out to solve the overwhelming challenges of navigating daily life and travel in a country with vastly different systems and language barriers.

       In 2018, I moved to Beijing for work. I spoke zero Mandarin, couldn’t figure out if my visa was valid, and spent two days trying to get Alipay to accept my foreign credit card.

       The breaking point came when a friend arrived at a scenic spot three hours early, only to be turned away because he didn’t know about China’s reservation system for attractions, and had to miss the trip regretfully. I realized that the information gap between travelers and China’s systems wasn’t just inconvenient—it was costing people money, time, and sometimes their entire trip.

      So I decided to fix it.

 

My Background

       Before founding China Travel Concierge in 2020, I spent 10 years as Global Logistics Operations Manager. That experience taught me how to navigate bureaucratic systems, how to communicate across cultures , and how to manage logistics under pressure. Over the past 6 years , I’ve personally assisted 4,650 travelers from 10 countries. I’ve coordinated entry and itineraries across 21 provinces.

• A Europeanbusiness executive needing same-day visa troubleshooting in Guangzhou

How I Work

        I don’t give generic advice. Every consultation starts with a diagnostic covering your nationality, passport status, travel purpose, health needs, and risk tolerance. I then build a  custom entry timeline / annotated itinerary / emergency contact sheet specific to your trip.

       I charge for my time and expertise because free advice is worth exactly what you pay for it. The $30 you spend on a 30-minute consultation about electronic payment setup will save you 3 hours of frustration and potentially a missed train.
